Today's Verse Reflection

The verse, “through the fear of the Lord evil is avoided,” speaks to the reverence and awe we ought to have for God. This isn’t about being afraid in the sense of fear that leads to anxiety but rather a profound respect and acknowledgment of God’s holiness and justice. It’s this healthy reverence that guides our actions and decisions steering us away from paths that lead to destruction and evil. This fear of the Lord acts as a compass keeping us aligned with God’s will and safeguarding us from the many temptations and pitfalls that can lead us astray.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, keep my eyes fixed on You. Strengthen me in times of temptation and guide me through the challenges of this life. I pray that Your Spirit lead me in truth and keep my heart in accordance to Your will, that I might live a life that is pleasing in Your sight.

Thank You, Father, for the assurance of Your love and the gift of Your salvation. I commit this day to You asking that You would use me for Your glory. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
