Today's Verse Reflection

This verse doesn’t just tell us what to avoid but also directs us towards what we should pursue: righteousness, faith, love, and peace. These virtues are central to a Christian life, embodying the character of Christ and the fruits of the Spirit. Pursuing these virtues is not a solitary endeavor but something we do in community, “along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” This reminds me of the importance of fellowship and being part of a community of believers who support and encourage each other in faith.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, I ask for Your grace to flee from the youthful desires that lead me away from Your presence and to earnestly pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace.

Lord, guide my steps and guard my heart. Help me to discern the paths that draw me closer to You and those that lead me astray. Grant me the strength to resist temptations that threaten my spiritual journey and the wisdom to embrace actions that reflect Your love and goodness.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
