Reflection

Obedience to God which leads to righteousness is not about legalistic adherence to rules but rather a heartfelt response to God’s love and grace. It is all about aligning our will with God’s while seeking His guidance and living in a way that reflects His character and love. This obedience is liberating and life-giving which leads us to a deeper relationship with God and a life that is marked by righteousness that is not our own but the righteousness that comes from God.

As believers, we must pursue a life of faith and trust in Jesus through whom we can escape the slavery of sin and embrace the righteousness that leads to eternal life.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, I pray that You help me to recognize the chains of sin that bind me and give me the strength to break free. Teach me to choose obedience to You over the fleeting pleasures of sin. I desire to be a servant of righteousness, living a life that reflects Your love, grace, and holiness. Help me to understand that true freedom and life are found not in following my own desires but in surrendering to Your will. In Jesus name that I pray, Amen.
