For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. — Romans 5:10 KJV
For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! — Romans 5:10 NIV
Thought and Reflection
The heaviness of sin from Adam’s whole race was put on Christ Who paid the cost of sin with His one single demonstration of righteousness. And all who accept this are defended and accept God’s gift of eternal salvation. As overpowering as this gift of justification leaning on an unshakable conviction in Christ might be, there is a great deal more connected with our unconditional gift of salvation. Not exclusively is our confidence in Christ reckoned as righteousness yet we also approach into God’s grace, despite the fact that we were brought into the world in sin and were under God’s wrath.
Furthermore, by the power of His indwelling Spirit, we can celebrate in our adversities and rejoice in our torments, realizing that the trials of life achieve endurance and perseverance. The way that we who were dead in sin have been conveyed from future judgment and are as of now and eternally accommodated with God, ought to make us rejoice through time and into the eternal ages to come!
May we never allow the delight of our great salvation, our relationship with Christ, and the astonishing honors, position, and guarantees we have through confidence in Him, to become typical throughout everyday life.
