You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book? — Psalm 56:8 NKJV
Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll—are they not in your record? — Psalm 56;8 NIV
Reflection on Verse for Today
Keep in mind that He has planned out every day of our life and is mindful of the tears His people will experience as a result of their suffering. Our circumstances are in His hands, and we serve a loving, compassionate God who knows all the things that cause His children to suffer. And even in these extremely sad and trying times, we can, like our Lord, grow closer to our Father through the hardships we endure in accordance with His will.
And the good thing is that through suffering, we will draw closer to His loving heart and comprehend our God in a way that we had never believed possible, for God has said that a day would come when grief will be turned into joy and tears will be turned into laughter. One day, He will Himself wipe away each and every tear that has fallen from our eyes.
My Prayer
Dear God, I sincerely appreciate Your kindness and mercy shown to me. I’m grateful that You have collected my tears in a bottle because it shows how much You care about anything that makes me hurt. I’m grateful that You are so familiar with everything that makes me cry and that You are the only one who can truly soothe me. In Jesus name. Amen.
