Reflection
Faith that is put into action is called obedience. James 2 tells us that our faith is only a shadow of what it could be if we put it into practice. Because we have seen the love of God shown to us in Jesus, and because we have seen the protection that God’s will has for us when we obey him, let’s quickly obey without arguing and even when we don’t fully understand why. This is because we have seen that when we obey him, his will protects us.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, give me a heart that is quick to obey, and give me a faith that is quick to express itself in deeds of obedience. I want to make you happy with my words and thoughts, but more than that, Father, I want my life to be filled with your virtue, wisdom, and grace. Please help me in promptly obeying your voice. I humbly pray to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
