Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments. — Psalm 119:21 KJV

You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed, those who stray from your commands. — Psalm 119:21 NIV

Reflection on Verse for Today

When we stray from God’s commands, His rebukes are meant not to condemn but to correct and guide us back to His path. It’s an encouragement for us to remain humble, acknowledging our constant need for God’s guidance and wisdom.

We need to challenge ourselves today to stay obedient to God’s commands and maintain a humble heart so we can live a life that is pleasing to Him, steering clear from the repercussions that come from a prideful and disobedient spirit.

My Prayer

Oh, Loving Father, teach us to always walk in humility and to embrace Your commands with obedient hearts. May we never become so inflated with pride that we ignore Your precious and life-giving statutes.

Grant us the grace to always heed Your rebukes, recognizing them as a pathway back to Your divine and righteous path.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
