Reflection

The people who lived under the Torah, often known as the Law of Moses, would probably interpret this chapter in a slightly different way than Christians do. We are aware that God has given us a clean slate as a free gift as a result of the atoning death that Jesus endured on the cross. We are aware that simply obeying the law is not enough to justify us. Instead, we are acknowledging all the wonderful grace that God has bestowed upon us and relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to walk on the path that the Lord has laid out for us. Following the will of God results in a multiplicity of blessings for us. These blessings are not merely reserved for us in the foreseeable future; rather, they begin in the very moment that we choose to spend our lives in Christ Jesus.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am grateful for the many blessings you have bestowed upon me. Because I try to conduct my life in accordance with your will, I am able to feel the grace and blessings of your presence in my life. Please grant me the knowledge to better understand your will and the bravery to carry it out. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
