Reflection
Never forget that it was Christ’s blood and the Cross that saved us from the punishment of sin and the power of sin, respectively. As Christians, our place is IN CHRIST. As Christians, we identify with Christ’s death, so as Christians, we were also put to death on the cross with Christ. But as Christians, we are also linked to Christ’s resurrection, and because He lives, we will too, because He broke sin and death’s power over us.
Paul tells us that we can be sure that “We KNOW we will live with Christ because we died with Him. Since Christ got a resurrected body, we will too,” and John wants us to remember this so that as a believer “you may KNOW that you have eternal life.””
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, what a joy it is to know that I am in Christ and that because I am identified with Him in His death, I am also identified with Him in his new life. Thank You for giving me life, a full life, and a life that will last forever in Christ. I pray in His name, Amen.
