Reflection

Entering into God’s grace, entering with appreciation, coming to share with others, and most of all, entering into the Lord’s presence uniquely are all aspects of worship. However, our participation is not the basis for worship. Instead, praise should focus on the Lord’s steadfast love, mercy, and kindness. Just like many others before us, we make our way to where God patiently waits. Here we are to honor him for everything he has done, is doing, and will do in the future. It is here that we intend to worship, thus we have come to enter. Because God has been patiently waiting for us over the ages, we are able to take this step.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, you alone are the faithful, powerful Rock of Israel in whom Israel’s ancestors put their faith. Your mercy and grace are unending, and I thank you for that. I sing your praises because I want my emotions to be in harmony with yours. I sing your praises because I wish to get ready for the greatest portion of my life, the time I will spend in your company. To God be the glory! Amen.
