Reflection
There are some things that you do not alter, replace, or update. Because we live in an era in which advancements in computer processors occur every few months and software companies produce new upgrades every year, we are conditioned to always search for the most recent and most advanced version of everything. The straightforward yet life-changing reality is that Jesus is Lord. There is no need to upgrade. There is no worthy rival. There is no need for any changes. At point of fact, if we deviate from this as the foundation of our life, we put everything that is important to us in jeopardy. But if we keep going, if we keep growing, if we firmly plant ourselves in this reality and make it the foundation of our lives, then not only will our future be safe, but our victory will be certain.
My Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the fact that Jesus is Lord, which is at once straightforward and difficult to accept. I pray that the Holy Spirit will shape my life in such a way that it more accurately reflects the dominion of Jesus Christ in the areas of my work, my family, and the daily influences that I have. I humbly pray to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
