Bible Verse Reflection

Revenge is enemy’s strategy for taking out both innocents and the culprit. When vengeance is the motive for the victim, they is swept away with hatred and outrage. This poison is spread to everything the victim gets in touch with.

On this world, we can be sure that we won’t attain justice in a perfect way regardless of what the “goodness” of the judicial system at the moment. However, God does not just bring justice. He will also help us to be free: He will deliver us from the hand of the oppressor, and save us from the poisonous stench of hatred.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, God of all justice and unwavering love, I beg for Your help within the system of justice in my country. You can make it more equitable and honest. Expose those who buys and sell justice, and then eliminate them from the power. Handle the violent and oppressor by Your hands.

By the power of your Spirit inspire in me forgiveness for others as well as trust in your mercy. Protect me from the toxins of a bitter and unforgiving heart. May my attitude, my behavior and reaction to those who hurt me aid them in recognizing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
