In the light of the king’s countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. — Proverbs 16:15 KJV
When a king’s face brightens, it means life; his favor is like a rain cloud in spring. — Proverbs 16:15 NIV
Today's Verse Reflection
Just as a king’s smile can bring joy and a sense of well-being to his subjects, so too can the light of God’s countenance bring life and vitality to our spirits. In times of drought, whether literal or spiritual, the promise of rain brings hope. Similarly, God’s favor can rejuvenate our souls, bringing growth and new life where there was once barrenness.
This verse encourages us to seek God’s presence actively and to cherish His favor above all else.
