The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit. — Proverbs 12:12 KJV
The wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers, but the root of the righteous endures. — Proverbs 12:12 NIV
Reflection
This encourages us for a life of righteousness suggesting that while wickedness may appear strong, it is ultimately transient and unstable. In contrast, righteousness, though it might not always seem immediately rewarding provides a lasting and unshakeable foundation. So as Christians we need to seek a life grounded in God’s wisdom and righteousness because this leads to enduring stability and true fulfillment.
