Reflection on Today's Verse

We can see here that Martha’s actions are commendable because she is providing hospitality which is an important virtue in the cultural and religious context of her time. Serving others especially guests is a crucial way of expressing love and generosity. We should then embrace as believers the importance of serving others in our community and making them feel welcome and valued.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for the gift of service and for the ability to show love and care through my actions. I pray that as I serve, whether it be in my home, workplace, church, or community, I do so with a heart that seeks to glorify You. I pray that my hands become an extension of Your love and my actions as a testimony to Your love and grace. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
