Reflection for Today's Verse
We have an extraordinary responsibility that comes along with the gift of Jesus, and that is to listen to him, follow him, and honor him. If God required his people to obey his lesser messengers, who were kings or prophets, then what duty do you think it is for us to listen when he has emptied heaven of the brightness of his Son so that it can light on us?
My Prayer
I am grateful to you, my Father, for sending your Son, Jesus, who is also my Savior. Please, dear LORD, help me to never take that blessing for granted in any way, shape, or form. In the name of Jesus, to whom I pray, please bestow upon me the ability and the knowledge to listen to him with complete devotion and to serve him. Amen.
