Reflection

Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac is a testimony to his unwavering faith in God. Despite the pain and confusion he must have felt, Abraham trusted God’s promises and believed that God had a greater plan even if he couldn’t see it. In our own lives, we might not be asked to make such drastic sacrifices but we are called to trust God in challenging situations.

My Prayer

Thank you, God, for the countless times You’ve shown up in my life, providing in both big and small ways. I pray that my heart remains open, my faith deepens, and my trust in You grows. For You are Jehovah-jireh, and in every mountain I climb, in every challenge I face, let me always declare, “In the mount of the LORD, it shall be seen.”

In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
