Reflection

As Christians, we need to maintain and preserve the sanctity and purity of places of worship as they are meant to be spaces dedicated to connecting with God and not for pursuing worldly gains. We can see here that Jesus’ response is an example of righteous anger in the face of injustice and corruption which clearly shows that there are situations where taking a stand against wrongdoing is necessary especially when it concerns exploiting what is meant to be holy.

My Prayer

Forgive me, Father, for the times I have allowed the distractions and desires of this world to overshadow my spiritual commitment. Help me to discern between the sacred and the secular, ensuring that my heart, like Your temple, remains a haven for prayer and communion with You. I ask for Your wisdom and guidance in making my personal spaces—my home, my workplace, and within my community—true reflections of Your kingdom. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
