But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. — 1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. — 1 Corinthians 15:57 NIV
Reflection
This mortal structure of ours will one day be clothed with immortality, and the day will come when this corruptible will be clothed with incorruptibility. We are getting closer and closer to the time when we will declare, “The triumph of good over evil has swallowed up death. Where is the triumph you promised, O Death? Where is the sting of death, oh Death? All praise and thanksgiving be to God, who, through his Son Jesus Christ, has given us the victory.”
Our happy yell of triumphant gratitude and victory will resonate throughout the eternal centuries to come, and it will be heard as follows: “thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
My Prayer
Dear Loving Father, I adore you and that I will always and forever glorify your name. You have exalted me and seated me along with Christ Jesus in heavenly places, even though I am not worthy to pick up the crumbs from under Your table. You have done this by sending Your One and Only Son to pay the tremendous price for my sin and to break the power of death in my life. I will sing praises to Your name till the end of time. All glory, all honor, all power, and all majesty be yours, for all time and for all eternity, Amen.
