What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? — Romans 8:31-32 KJV
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? — Romans 8:31-32 NIV
Thought and Reflection
We are aware that God paid a great price in order to forgive and redeem us through Jesus Christ. He has gone to great lengths to buy our pardon. What will He do to refuse us the good, right, and holy? If God says “No!” to our prayers, then we are blessed. It is for our benefit and the eternal good of those we have prayed for. His intention is to bless, and not wound. His desire is to bless and redeem. His desire is to see us become more like His Son.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I have to confess that I sometimes get impatient and disappointed when I pray for the answer I want. My doubting heart, please calm down. Your abundant grace is what I need to remember.
Your assurance and comfort through the ministry of your Holy Ghost to my human spirit is Yours. I believe You want me to receive Your grace and blessings. While I might not understand all the negative things in my life, You know that they are for my good and Your glory. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
