Bible Verse Reflection

When we think of the cross, we typically think about the forgiveness of sins offered and if forgiveness for sins been the only benefit of grace was given to us, that would bring eternal joy. However, God had a plan for us in Christ’s that through His death, we were justified and was made righteous, sanctified, and honored. We were accepted as children of God and were destined to be identical to the Lord Jesus.

We were blessed with an eternal inheritance, and became co-heirs along with Christ in His kingdom of heaven. The effect of sin and death on our lives was ended for ever and, because we were in Christ and associated with Him and identified with Him, we were placed in the heavenly realms of Christ.

God planned all this for us, prior to the beginning of time – to show His love to us by showing His love for us in that, even though we become sinners Christ sacrificed His life to save us.

My Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for being so kind to me that You sent Christ to be my substitute – to become my Lord and Savior In whose names I pray. Amen.
