Array
O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. — Psalm 34:9 KJV
Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. — Psalm 34:9 NIV
Reflection
The psalmist calls on those who worship the Lord to give honor and reverence to Him. This is the true essence and meaning of the word “fear” in this verse. It also means respect, rather than panic or horror. Christians need not dread God. He is their loving heavenly Father who cares for His flock.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for Your great mercy and grace. Thank you for your unfailing love and faithfulness. Truly You are awesome and holy in all You do. Empower me to be a person of integrity and grace. In the name of Jesus that I pray. Amen.
