Thought and Reflection

While many are searching for solutions to the escalating violence that takes lives, destabilizes schools, and creates a dangerous environment for our streets, what is the reason no one has been able to recall the wisdom of God’s wise servant who taught us in the past?

Don’t let anyone either fictional or real be our heroes if their popularity is built on violence. One of the most well-known sons of Israel’s soldier was the first to recognize this. The Son of the Most High said it best: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

My Prayer

Almighty Father, save us from the devastation that is a part of our culture and the reverence for violence that is prevalent in our nation. Give us the true peacemakers who have a heart.

Lord please grant our eyes the ability to recognize them, and the courage to respect them. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
