Reflection on Verse for Today
To take something that is aesthetically pleasing and then to defile it with evil is to throw away a wonderful gift. It is a blessing to someone who has no idea why God chose to give them the blessing of physical beauty. No matter what God has gifted us with, whether it is physical beauty, athletic talent, brilliant intelligence, a captivating personality, or anything else, we must never forget that he has done so so that we can benefit others and respect him in return.
My Prayer
Please forgive me, Lord, for the times that I have failed to honor you and bless those around me with the qualities and abilities that you have given me. Teach me to live my life for your glory and to bless others with your grace; please give me a refreshed sense of purpose as I work toward those goals. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
