The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. — Proverbs 10:21 KJV
The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of sense. — Proverbs 10:21 NIV
Thought and Reflection
The righteous have a way to bless others through their words. They may use their words of positive encouragement, their carefully chosen speech, their words packed with wisdom, their words that comforts, honesty in their teaching, or even their commitment to their word.
Whatever form they take the words of the righteous are an encouragement. However, fools do not listen to those who are righteous. They make their own decisions and ignore wisdom, truth and godliness and then find their lives ruined by futility and meaninglessness.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, the Creator of all wisdom and truth I ask You to grant me the capability to recognize the ones around me that are true to You and the discernment to listen to what they have to say.
Help me avoid the traps of arrogance and pride when I seek in humility to discern Your voice in the lives of the people whose lives conform to your character. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
