Thought and Reflection
The accumulation of wealth, particularly through shrewd and naive methods is of little value. The rancid wealth degrades the soul of those who is the recipient and will not keep us from our eventual end. The virtue of righteousness, however, is a much more valuable treasure.
The righteousness of the eternal God, the gift of God, which is given to us by grace, through faith, is more than our limits of mortality and can protect our soul from dying.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am grateful that You have made me holy before You through Jesus sacrifice and Your mercy. My greatest lasting legacy to come from my righteousness and moral character, not my accomplishments, status or riches.
I am sure that my achievements will fade away when my earthly existence is finished however, I am confident that the righteousness You instill within me is a gift as well as an influence that will last for generations after my death and will be my companion treasure once I am sharing it with You in Your glory. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
