Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an example. — Philippians 3:17 KJV
Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. — Philippians 3:17 NIV
Thought and Reflection
A few pundits of teaching and evangelists say, “I would prefer to see a lesson any day than hear one.” I’m not upset since individuals need to “see a lesson,” but since some who lecture don’t “try to do they say others should do.” Their hypocrisy ruins the message of Christ in the ears of our faultfinders.
As pioneers – whether as companions, guardians, or those with positions of authority – our essential device of impact ought to be our life of devotion, character, and sympathy. Do you practice what you preach? We all who look to impact others in a redemptive manner. Why? Since most people need to both hear and see the message before it turns into a piece of them.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, equip me, and make me fit for Your service. Help me as I try to live a life worth imitating and to lead others to Christ. I know I can’t do either of those without Your power and grace transforming my life. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
