Thought and Reflection
Why did Jesus have a relationship with sinners? We need for Him to join with us! What’s the most significant aspect of that fact: Jesus’ desire to save or our acceptance of our guilt? Of course, the most important aspect is Jesus’ desire to save us because, without Him, acknowledging our guilt would cause us to be in despair.
If we don’t recognize the need for grace from God and sacrifice for us, His sacrifice is not realized. Let’s be thankful for Jesus for being our loving and sacrificial Savior. But we must also recognize the need for His mercy and powerful grace.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I praise You with all my heart for giving Jesus to be my Redeemer. I admit that I struggle with the sin of my past. Teach me overcome it of my life, however I am unable to free myself from its perpetual shadow and the scuffling mark it leaves.
Without Your mercy or the sacrifices of Jesus I am sure that I’d never be able to be the pure and innocent child You have made me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
