Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. — Matthew 6:19-20 KJV
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. — Matthew 6:19-20 NIV
Bible Verse Reflection
Where do you keep your heart? What do we value most is the place we find our heart. This is a crucial issue. It is true that we have the ability to cherish riches, security, relationships, and control.
Jesus warns us of the fact that it’s that we let go of the things that the majority of us hold as the treasures of our lives that we discover the treasure that is truly valuable.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that from the wealth in Your love, You will help me find that treasure within You, and have nothing more to be thankful for than You.
Teach me to give You everything I have so that my life can be one that is devoted to Your glory. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
