Thought and Reflection
We become so focused with externals, appearances and façades. Jesus gets to the heart of God’s concerns that is our spiritual state. He is asking us to not just focus on the things we put into our bodies, but also on the things we allow to develop within our hearts and sit in our minds.
The inside world is what demands our full attention. Let’s face it and ask ourselves if are spending the same amount of time looking at our inner life as we are looking at our outer appearance.
My Prayer
Dear Lord who searches hearts and minds I pray that the words of my mouth as well as the thoughts in my heart be pleasing to Your eyes. I am offering my entire world to be cleansed and redecorated through the work of sanctification performed by Your Holy Spirit.
Protect my heart from the evil of ambitions and keep my mind free of unclean thoughts. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
