For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. — Luke 11:10 KJV
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. — Luke 11:10 NIV
Reflection
God answers prayers. Ongoing research in the recovery of medical procedure patients for whom others prayed appears to approve this. Our experience proposes it is valid. The Holy Scriptures guarantees us that it is so. Yet, Luke underlines one explicit response to petition that God-seekers get. God yearns to give us a really extraordinary and awesome gift: his presence in us through his Holy Spirit. Due to the indwelling Spirit, God can do incomprehensible things for ourselves and through us.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, the sacrifice of your Son for my transgressions is a really unimaginable gift. The gift of salvation through Jesus is more magnificent than words. The generous gift of your presence in me through your Holy Spirit is comforting and enabling. Thank you for your confirmation that as I look for you, you are eager to favor me. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
