Reflection on Today's Verse
God’s goodness is not something to ignore or abuse. His patience gives man time to see the truth, turn from pride, and recognize his need before God. The Lord is not quick to destroy; He is rich in goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering.
This verse also teaches us that repentance is not produced by fear alone, but by seeing the goodness of God. When we understand how patient and merciful He has been, our hearts should not become harder. Instead, we should be humbled, thankful, and willing to walk in the light of His truth.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness, patience, and longsuffering toward me. Thank You for not dealing with me according to what I deserve, but for showing mercy and grace. Help me not to take Your kindness lightly.
Soften my heart through Your Word, lead me in truth, and teach me to respond to Your goodness with humility, faith, and obedience.
