Reflection
We may not be able to speak for everyone in our family, but we can pledge to do what we believe everyone in our family ought to want to do: We shall serve the Lord. But more than just committing, how about we lead by example and show others the way? “Starting today, I will serve the Lord!” After that, we can approach them about joining us.
My Prayer
O compassionate Shepherd, grant me the insight to know how to make my family love you even more so that they can follow in my footsteps. I ask that you bless my parents and thank you for allowing them to have faith in me. Please grant me the bravery and empathy I need to be able to communicate your truth to my children in a way that is successful. Please, God, bless the parents who are working hard to bring up virtuous children in the hopes that those children will one day marry the children that you’ve given to me. I want my home to be a place where you are recognized, cherished, acknowledged, and loved by everyone who enters. In the name of Jesus Christ, I humbly request it. Amen.
