Reflection on Verse for Today

God could have just as easily sent Jesus to judge the world, since everyone has sinned and doesn’t meet God’s standards. However, the Bible says that God didn’t send His Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world could be saved through Him. God has always wanted to save people, and anyone who wants to can now do so because Christ’s blood has been poured out.

In the beginning, God gave man free will so that he could make his own decisions and decide his own fate. But to show how much God cares about Adam’s fallen race, He sent His one and only Son into the world so that anyone who believes in Him will not die, but will have eternal life.

Christ’s death on the cross was the final and full payment for everyone’s sins, but the only way to be saved is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. “He who believes on Him is not judged; but he who does not believe is already judged, because he has not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.” This is something we praise God for.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me so much that You sent Jesus to save me from my sin while I was still a sinner and not to punish me for my sin. I praise You for Your wonderful plan of redemption and for saving me by Your grace through faith in Christ. Thank You that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and I pray that I can live my life to Your praise and glory. Thank you, Lord, for being kind, merciful, and gracious to all people, including me. In Jesus name. Amen.
