Thought and Reflection

Nicodemus is one of the most important stories in the Gospels of John. Nicodemus came to Jesus at night to receive the truth. Jesus then told him that only those who love the truth will see the light. Even though he was mocked for his support of Jesus, Nicodemus stood up later.

He then became the disciple of Jesus at the most difficult time politically and religiously. He took Jesus’ dead body and helped Joseph of Arimathea to place it in a tomb. Nicodemus did not stay in darkness. We should too. Jesus is the light in the world. If our light is not found in Him, what depth is our darkness?

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, I desire to walk with You in the light. Calvary’s darkness did not dim the light of Jesus, but it made it shine brighter for me. Your love for me is evident at the cross. I see Jesus taking my sins away at the cross. I can see Jesus’ perfect love for me and You at the cross.

Father, thank You for Your generous salvation. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your amazing sacrifice. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
