Thought and Reflection

Complete power corrupts everything. It allows us to have things we don’t need; it allows us to forget where our roots are; and it allows us to ignore the cries from the oppressed.

Because only God has the power to control all power, complete power corrupts. It is like the sins of Adam and Eve. We desire it. True power, which is acceptable to The Complete power, can be used to bless the poor, lift the burdened, forgive the guilty and help the powerless.

My Prayer

Almighty Father God, I don’t want my time spent trying to position myself to be the best over others. Give me the grace and ability to bless others.

Not so that I feel superior or important but so they will be blessed. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
