Thought and Reflection
It’s an important thing to speak about getting filled by the Holy Spirit. It is completely different to be under the direction and control of the Spirit in our lives. Paul reminds us that we need to not just talk about it. We have to walk the walk.
The Holy Spirit is the one who guides our choices, decide our morality and influence our words. Its fruit — joy, love, peace, calm and kindness, as well as humility, faithfulness and self-control must be evident. Paul tells Christians full of the Spirit of God, “Live like it.”
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts of the Holy Spirit that lives in me. Let your Spirit influence my thinking and shape me to be like Jesus in my actions and words. In Jesus the name of Jesus, I ask. Amen.
