Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them. — Ecclesiastes 12:1 KJV
Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”. — Ecclesiastes 12:1 NIV
Thought and Reflection
Many things can distract us when we’re young, especially when there are so many to do. In those first days of excitement and frenetic joy, we must allow the Lord to gather our passions under His grace so that God can use them for His greater purposes. Most of us will experience a rise in limitations as we age.
It doesn’t necessarily mean that life is bad. But it does mean that we need to put in order our priorities. We should have learned the lessons we needed to believe in our youth, so we can be examples and counselors for others who come after us.
My Prayer
Lord God, I pray for the youth in Your church that they will find You with passion and joy and follow Jesus. May their faith be authentic, joyful, triumphant, and vibrant.
Give them the gift of Your glory. Your presence, victory, grace, and support will sustain them throughout their lives. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
