Reflection
God has promised that there will be a separation of the righteous from the unrighteous. In each of his parables, Jesus emphasized the same reassurance. However, these are not to be seen as frightening warnings for the people of God. These are not empty words; rather, they are words of promise. Those people who have carefully acknowledged God and spent their lives for God will shine brightly for everyone to see. Those who have guided others toward a life of righteousness will shine brightly in the sight of their heavenly Father!
My Prayer
I give thanks to the loving God for rescuing me by his love and kindness. In the same breath, Father, it irritates me to see the wicked get ahead in life while your obedient slaves are insulted and made fun of for the way they conduct themselves in the world. I am grateful that you will evaluate us based on the amazing grace that you have shown to others. At the same time, I’m happy that you will deliver justice for those people who adore you and who are currently suffering from difficulty, danger, and scorn as a result of their religion. Please be with them wherever they are, and give them the strength to persist until that day arrives when it will all be worth it. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
