And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. — Colossians 3:15 KJV
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. — Colossians 3:15 NIV
Reflection
The elusive state of grace known as peace, which combines all aspects of a happy and healthy life. We have true Shalom, which means we are well in body, soul, and spirit as a result of Jesus. Because of his connections with other people and his victories over evil, death, and the afterlife, we too can experience a state of serenity.
Therefore, when we let the Spirit of Christ into our hearts, we will be able to coexist in peace with our brothers and sisters, regardless of the faults that we share with them. Aside from that, Paul uses us as a metaphor for the body of Christ, and it stands to reason that a body does not desire to be at war with itself. Therefore, make peace with one another and do so with gratitude in your heart
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, grant me a heart to love your people as you have loved all believers. I am confident that as the nature of Jesus becomes increasingly evident in my life, I will develop a deeper appreciation for the priceless nature of each of your children and will learn to view the challenging members of my own family as the grit from which you will create my pearl.
Have mercy on me until the love in my heart matches the love I have promised to have for all of your children. I humbly pray to you in the name of Jesus. Amen.
