For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. — Colossians 2:9-10 NIV
Thought and Reflection
Paul is referring to the “fullness of Christ” and implying that all God has and is found in Jesus Christ our Savior. The Son of God, the invisible God, has revealed Himself fully in Jesus Christ. If the wholeness of God is found in Jesus Christ, then why should anyone allow themselves to be held captive by worldly philosophies that claim Christ is not sufficient to save them?
Why would you seek salvation or help from anyone else if the whole essence of God is contained in Christ? Christ Jesus is your Saviour. You don’t need to do anything more than what He did for you on the cross. His work of salvation is complete and sufficient to save you.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I recognize that You are far beyond my comprehension. You are amazing and powerful and majestic, but my mind cannot comprehend. Your grace, O God amazes me. You sent Jesus to me so that I could get to know You and to be forgiven of my sins. Thank You for the redeeming grace. In Jesus name. Amen.
