Peter and the other apostles declared Jesus as Lord, despite a warning from the Sanhedrin (the Jerusalem ruling council). They were aware that Jesus had overcome His enemies and saved His ministry. They disobeyed orders from the same people who executed Jesus. That is faithful courage, by any standard.

Lord God Almighty, please give me the strength and courage to follow Your lead. I will not ever give up on my convictions or renounce my faith and belief in Jesus. Amen.
