Thought and Reflection
What a breakthrough. Like Jesus was praying to God and addressed him as “Abba Father,” we can also speak openly and in a way that is open with God. “Ab-ba” are some of the first syllables that children spoke. “Abba” is a word that was used by infants to speak with respect, intimacy and freely with their fathers on earth.
The Holy Spirit grants us the similar privilege, just like God’s sons and daughters. We are able to call God the Creator of all things the great God of Israel and the Father of all mankind, The Almighty of eternity, Abba! Amazing.
My Prayer
Abba Father, I am grateful for being present in me by Your Spirit. Thank you for allowing me to be able to address You with such ease and confidence, with such reverence and dependence.
I thank You so much for having been my Heavenly Father to me for all eternity. In Jesus name that I give You honor and glory. Amen.
