The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. — Proverbs 29:25 KJV
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. — Proverbs 29:25 NIV
Thought and Reflection
Jesus told us not to fear other human adversaries. Whenever we attempt to satisfy others, when we dread how others might say or treat us, we place ourselves in a place of extraordinary weakness. Our lives never again remain our own. We become hostage to what others think, need, or undermine.
We are just to trust the LORD and worship Him. Putting our confidence in the LORD swarms fear out of our souls. As we purposely put our faith in the LORD, God turns into our security, both now and forevermore.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, please keep me safe from those who go against me and would cause me harm. Make my life a blessed commendation to honor you. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
