Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. — Psalm 37:1-2 KJV
Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. — Psalm 37:1-2 NIV
Thought and Reflection
Envy and frustration… Oh isn’t this our response to people who are evil but appear to be prospering? We’re told not to allow the seemingly brief-lived success of evil people hinder our faith or lower our faith. Their successes are fleeting Their wealth is similar to an emerald that is fading and their existence is like grass that wilts and will soon disappear.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, praise Your glorious name. I have been blessed abundantly. You have provided me with protection from my adversaries. I have been blessed with life as well as hope and a future by Your side.
Teach me not spend my time thinking about what other people have. Give me a heart of gratitude for, and happiness with all You’ve accomplished to help me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
