For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. — Isaiah 41:13 KJV
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. — Isaiah 41:13 NIV
Thought and Reflection
Life is unpredictable and we long to be kids again. Perhaps, then we’d have someone taking care of us and safeguard ourselves from the uncertainties and worries. In the midst of our confusing and chaotic life, the faithfulness of God appears to us again by way of an assurance.
Like a parent who loves an anxious child God is able to reach down and grab the hand of us. He offers us comfort with his sweet words “Don’t be afraid. I’m here with you. I will help.”
Although the LORD seems distant The sound of this promise could remind us that we’re never abandoned or left behind.
My Prayer
Abba Father, Your love and support is always at hand. Help me to have faith that You are always there. I am aware that at various moments in my life You’ve appeared distant and I’ve felt isolated.
I ask You to remind me by Your Spirit your closeness and Your concern. In times of difficulty and doubt, I ask You to be a visible sign of Your presence. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
