Reflection on Today's Verse
Our words should carry both grace and wisdom. Speaking with grace does not mean avoiding truth; it means expressing truth with patience, kindness, and respect. Words seasoned with salt are thoughtful, helpful, and appropriate for the moment.
Before we respond, especially when we feel hurt, annoyed, or misunderstood, we can pause and ask whether our words will bring clarity or create more conflict. A gentle answer can calm tension, while careless words may leave wounds that are difficult to repair.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the grace You continually show me. Please help my words reflect that same grace toward others. Give me wisdom to know when to speak, what to say, and when it is better to remain silent.
Guard my heart from anger, pride, impatience, and careless speech. Teach me to answer others with kindness, truth, understanding, and respect. May my words encourage those who are discouraged, bring peace where there is conflict, and point people toward Your love.
Let my speech always honor You and reflect the character of Christ.
