Reflection on Today's Verse
Kindness, compassion, and forgiveness are not merely good manners… they are the natural response to God’s grace. We have been forgiven not because we earned it, but because of what Christ accomplished for us. That truth should soften our hearts toward people who disappoint, offend, or misunderstand us.
Forgiveness does not mean pretending that hurt never happened. It means refusing to let bitterness control us. When we remember how patiently and completely God has forgiven us for Christ’s sake, we find the strength to extend mercy to others, even when doing so is difficult.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for forgiving me freely for Christ’s sake. Help me to be kind, tenderhearted, and patient with the people around me. Remove bitterness, pride, and resentment from my heart, and give me the grace to forgive as You have forgiven me.
I pray that my words and actions reflect the love and mercy I have received through Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
