Reflection on Today's Verse
This passage shows the heart of a believer who truly loves God’s truth. Even when there is a battle inside, the inward man delights in the law of God. This means the new life in Christ desires what is holy, right, and pleasing to the Lord.
The struggle does not mean God has left us. It reminds us that the flesh is weak, but Christ is faithful. We do not overcome by self-confidence, but by depending on the Lord Jesus Christ, who gives grace, strength, and deliverance.
Personal Prayer
Lord God, thank You for giving me a heart that can delight in Your truth. Even when I feel weak, distracted, or pulled by the flesh, help me remember that my strength is not in myself but in Christ.
Teach me to love Your word more each day. Guide my thoughts, guard my heart, and help me walk according to the inward man by faith. Thank You for Your grace, patience, and deliverance through the Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
