Reflection on Today's Verse
Not every believer is in the same place in understanding. Some may know a truth clearly, while others are still weak or troubled in conscience. Paul is teaching that truth matters, but love matters too. It is not enough to say, “I know I am free.”
You must also ask whether your actions may wound another person’s conscience. Grace teaches you not to be proud of knowledge, but to use what you know with humility, patience, and care for others.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your truth and for the grace You give through the Lord Jesus Christ. Help me not to be lifted up with knowledge alone, but to walk in love and wisdom. Teach me to be patient with others, especially those who are still weak in understanding.
Guard my heart from pride, and help me to use my liberty in a way that honors You and helps others. May my life show both truth and charity. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
